Cute boys reading together
Jeff's time in New Mexico is winding down (he only has one more trip in October), so we decided it was time to visit Albuquerque. Jeff worked one day and then I joined him for a weekend there. Russ and Julie had some fun stuff planned for us to do while we were there. We took a tram to the top of the Sandia Mountains and hiked around.
There was an MMA fighter training on the top of the limestone house, which we found curious. Even more interesting was when we saw a commercial at the movie theater the next night where he was featured.
We also spent a day at Bandelier National Monument, where we saw a lot of Indian ruins. It was a fun trip and it was so good to see Russ and Julie and their kids.
When we got back, we found our peaches were ready to pick. After three years, we finally enjoyed our first peaches. And they were delicious! I froze a bunch, canned a bunch, and made seven jars of jam. Not a bad first harvest!
Jeff had to go back to New Mexico the next weekend, and we had a lot of fun without him. Our neighbor, a realtor, hosted a party with bounce houses, cotton candy, ice cream and Cosmo. The kids thought it was the best day ever!
