April 18--Observations

In the afternoons when I am picking Damon up from school, there are a few things from our drive:
#1-There must not be enough stop lights/crosswalks on Ft. Caroline, because there is ALWAYS someone jay-walking.
#2-I don’t know if this is unique to Jacksonville, or if it is a common trend among all US middle schools, but I have seen a ton of middle schoolers wearing kids backpacks (Sponge Bob, Care Bears, Strawberry Shortcake, etc). Have any of you noticed anything like that where you live?#3-Allie likes to point out the snow cone place. She says, “Mommy, snow cone place.” She has never had a snow cone and doesn’t know why I get excited when I see it, but it’s still fun that she gets excited.
#4-Allie has also learned from Damon about good music. She asks for “Fiyero,” “Take the Wheel,” and “Cheats” on a daily basis.
#5-There is an older couple (they look like they’re from India) that we always see walking and holding hands. Damon calls them the “love couple.” They are always bundled up, with beanies and scarves, even when it is warm and sunny outside. One time they weren’t holding hands and we commented that they must be in a fight.

Prediction for American Idol tonight? I think Chris is going home. I’ll probably be wrong, but we’ll see. By the way, whoever told him “nasally is another way to sing” was obviously trying to get him voted off.

Brent predicted Chris to go next too. I am so glad Sanjaya is gone but now who?
