Allie doesn't like taking naps. She feels that by falling asleep, she will miss out on all the fun things Damon and I are doing. And so, at least half of the time she is in her room for nap time, she doesn't fall asleep. The rest of the time I find her like this (at least she's in her bed).
That could mean that she is ready to give up naps altogether, but I get the feeling that she isn't quite ready for that yet. Let me know if you disagree...
One day she fell asleep on my lap as I was typing and didn't wake up when I placed her on the chair.

And finally, we have last night. She completely melted down around 5:00, but refused to admit she was tired. I was setting the table and she was waiting patiently for dinner when I realized it had become awfully quiet. This is how I found her.
And here she is, insisting that she isn't tired. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I just don't believe it.

The video of Allie dozing at the table is just the best! Eric and I laughed so hard! Mierae is in the same boat as her, currently "napping" at 7:00 p.m. I'll be glad when this transition is through!
I am laughing so hard right now! You are a patient mommy to let her do it her way. My kids become hysterical, then i become hysterical and we both end up needing a nap. I love this video!

So so so so funny. You should put it on you tube it is that funny. My kids will not go to sleep either, but they have never fallen asleep in weird places. This is hilarious to me.
